In an exclusive interview with Solar Sports, longtime Manny Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach revealed that he expects Pacman to knockout his upcoming opponent in no more than six rounds.

“I think Rios will last until the 6th round. I'm very confident we'll knock him out,” stated Roach.

After dropping his past two matchups, Pacquiao (54-5-2; 38KO’s) will aim to stay at the pinnacle of boxing by trying to take down Rios (31-1-1; 23KO’s), who he will face on November 24 (Sunday) at The Venetian Macao resort and hotel in Macau.

Even if many people expect Manny to fall because of his past two losses, the contest, according to Roach, will end in a knockout in favor of The People’s Champ.

“The KO loss did not affect him at all. He knows it is part of our world. He's very mature about it,” said the legendary trainer. “He knows how to win this fight; he’s really hungry. I’ll be very disappointed if Manny doesn’t knock Rios out.”

Roach and Pacquiao will have a lot to overcome, including the fact that Alex Ariza, Manny’s former strength and conditioning trainer, is now working with Rios in order to get him ready for the fight in Macau.

Nevertheless, Roach doesn’t think the presence of Ariza will propel Rios to victory.

“Ariza cannot sabotage us. He was never part of the gameplan. I never trusted him,” he said.

Roach should find a way for Manny to negate Rios's best shot which is the body and uppercut combination. It's good to review Hatton and Clotty fight for Manny to take out Rio's lead shots prior to executing his frightening body and uppercut combination. There is a big possibility that team Rios will first box Manny to lure him to a brawl in the later rounds.
